Commissioned by the North Moore High School Band, Director Clay Perry. This dramatic concert work uses a very simple 4-note motive to weave the fabric of the entire piece; the motive constantly shifting moods tells the story of our daily lives, never very simple and easy, but a constant fluctuation of emotions that we must navigate. This simple, traditional work gives a nod to Aaron Copland who created the musical image of the simple American way of life we all know by heart.
